Text From WWE’s Triple H Revealed By Another Company’s President WWE

A text from Triple H prior to a big crossover between WWE and TNA Wrestling has been revealed by TNA’s former president.

One of the defining moments of WWE’s Summer has been the establishment of NXT’s partnership with TNA Wrestling – something many fans would have once never thought possible in years gone by.

Roughly six months before the partnership truly kicked into gear however, came the 2024 Royal Rumble and the guest appearance of TNA Knockout’s Champion Jordynne Grace in the women’s Rumble match.

TNA’s then President Scott D’Amore recently sat down with Chris Van Vliet on Insight and detailed what Triple H had texted him prior to Grace’s big appearance at the Royal Rumble.

D’Amore said:

“One of the last things I get (before leaving for the Jericho Cruise) is a text from Triple H, which was just like, ‘Hey, I know you might be out of touch this weekend, just wanted you to know we finalized this, this and this, everything’s good, just how we discussed, have a safe trip, have fun’. And that is just so freakin’ cool.

“That’s just how wrestling a lot of times hasn’t been.

“A lot of times it’d have been like, ‘Oh, he’s gone, he’s at the sea, we can do whatever we wanna do now and really screw some people over’. But it just wasn’t.

“And not that I expected that they would ever do any of that stuff, that they would do anything underhanded, but even just to take the time when you’re that busy to say, ‘Hey, I know he’s gonna be possibly out of touch for a few days, I want him to leave knowing we’re all good, all these things that we have said are fine, it’s done, you’re gonna be really happy with it’. And I was.”

Two weeks after the Royal Rumble D’Amore was let go by TNA’s parent company Anthem Sports and Entertainment, something that wasn’t reportedly received well by some TNA talent at the time.

D’Amore’s post-TNA venture has been the reboot of Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling, which is set launch in October with its Forged in Excellence two-night event on October 19 and 20.

Ahead of the launch of Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling, the company’s lead announcer has now been confirmed to be a popular former WWE name.
