Following reports that WWE would be holding tryouts in London, England, an international independent name set for an opportunity has emerged.
In January 2025, it was revealed that WWE was planning to hold tryouts in Europe, likely coinciding with the Road To WrestleMania 41 tour that is currently underway.
With WWE SmackDown and the subsequent episode of Raw taking place in London, England on March 28 & 31 respectively, details have emerged of one name associated with the upcoming tryouts.
According to Fightful Select, the Spanish-born Zozaya is set to take part in the WWE tryouts taking place in “late March”.
Zozaya received praise from WWE’s Axiom during the recent Lucha Rebelion event and did work as an extra on WWE SmackDown on March 14, 2025 in Barcelona, Spain.
Debuting in 2018, Zozaya has recently broken out of the Spanish scene with matches in the United Kingdom, Japan and Germany added to his expanding record.
On March 16, 2025, Zozaya defeated CMLL, AEW and ROH star Hechicero at RevPro Epic Encounter.
He would also engage in a 60-minute Iron Man match against TNA Wrestling’s Leon Slater at the December 2024 RevPro Uprising, being victorious in that encounter.
