WWE has now shared never before seen footage from former tag-team champion Montez Ford’s WWE tryout, from before Ford became a Street Profit.
Ford has established himself as one of WWE’s most popular tag-team stars, with Ford previously holding the Raw, SmackDown and NXT tag titles with Street Profits tag-team partner Angelo Dawkins.
WWE has now shared footage from Montez Ford’s tryout in 2014, prior to him signing with WWE in 2015. You can view the video, which was shared to the WWE Vault YouTube channel, below this news story.
In the video, Ford, under his real name Kenneth Crawford, pointed out that this 2014 tryout was actually his second tryout with the company.
The video also featured clips from training sessions, with Ford looking almost unrecognisable, with a lot more of a muscular frame compared to his current slimmer physique.
Montez Ford’s promo from this tryout was also included in the video, during which Ford noted that he’ll take a sacrifice for WWE similar to the one he took when in the military.
Ten years on, Ford is a competitor on the SmackDown brand of the WWE main roster.
Ford’s upcoming opponents have teased a “black and gold” NXT style match, which you can read more about right here.
