Despite no longer being an active member of the roster, Kairi Sane is still under WWE contract and the company is subsequently not allowing the Japanese star to appear at a STARDOM show in March.
In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer notes that STARDOM wants Kairi Sane (formerly Kairi Hojo) and other former stars to appear at their big Budokan Hall show on March 3rd, but WWE isn’t so keen:
“They haven’t been back since. Other plans include trying to bring back stars from the past, most notably Kairi Hojo (Sane). Hojo is still under contract to WWE and she went to the Japanese WWE office for help in approving doing an appearance on the show but this got nowhere.”
It has long been reported STARDOM is interested in bringing back both Kairi Sane and Io Shirai, but it seems highly unlikely either will be appearing for the Japanese promotion anytime soon.
