Former WWE Champion Says TV Wrestling Return Is His Immediate Goal WWE

Former WWE NXT Tag Team Champion Tyler Breeze has revealed that returning to TV wrestling is one of his immediate goals.

While he has since returned to the independent scene, Breeze hasn’t wrestled on traditional TV since June 2021, ahead of his WWE departure.

Speaking on Gabby AF, Breeze noted that returning to TV wrestling is an ‘immediate’ personal goal of his, noting:

“Personal goals, I want to be back on TV wrestling. So wherever that happens to be, I would like to continue to wrestle because I am still able to, and I don’t see why I’m not doing it.

“So I would like to do that. That is probably my immediate goal, is to be back on TV wrestling.”

Breeze currently works as a WWE NXT coach and writer. When asked if he’d be interested in having an on-screen role like Shawn Spears in NXT, he explained:

“Sure, sure. Storyline-wise, whatever you want. Whatever works. If a company hires me to wrestle for them, if I sign that contract and agree to get paid every week, whatever you’d like to do. I can have some ideas, but in the end, it’s whatever you’d like to do.

“Otherwise, I shouldn’t sign that contract, and I’ll give all the money back and everything else. So storyline-wise, I’m not too picky in terms of what you want me to do. I would like to think, at this point, people usually know what I can do, if you need me to do. If that works for somebody, cool.

“Do I enjoy the wrestling aspect of it still? Yeah, 100 percent. I’m still having matches here at the school because I like the wrestling aspect and I can still do it. We’re not to a point where I’m going, ‘Ah, I don’t really want to do this anymore.’ I would love to do this. I would do this full-time. It’s just a matter of someone wanting you to do it full-time.”

The former WWE wrestler also noted that he misses being part of the active wrestling world, and never intended to be away from the scene for so long.

Tyler Breeze’s most recent match saw him and JDC (fka WWE’s Fandango) lose to Anderson Daniels & Troy Ryan at the February 15 FSW Breaks Convention V event.
