Report: Two New WWE Championships Being ‘Discussed’ WWE

A new report has revealed that WWE have recently “discussed” the potential introduction of two new championships.

On July 6 it was reported by a source known as PWN that WWE have two brand new championships “in the works” – one for WWE Raw and one for SmackDown.

These championships would be something long requested by fans, that being mid-card titles for WWE’s women’s division coming in the form of United States and Intercontinental Championships for the women’s roster.

In a follow up to these reported plans, Fightful Select would add new update of their own, in which they revealed that these plans were not yet a “definite”, but had been “discussed” – as confirmed by several sources in WWE.

Since PWN’s report had been released, images of these new titles had been circulating online – however, Fightful Select were able to confirm that these were simply AI mock-ups, and not official images of the potential new titles.

Fightful would also add that they have not yet spoken to talent that have heard news of the new championships, but women’s mid-card titles are something that a variety of talent on the roster have been pushing for.

WrestleTalk will provide further updates on these potential new WWE title belts as/when they become available.
