The July 8 episode of WWE Raw saw confirmation that Tyler Bate had picked up an injury during a match on WWE NXT.

The match in question took place on the July 2 episode of WWE NXT where Bate and Pete Dunne took on Hank Walker and Tank Ledger.

At the time, it was reported that Bate would be “out of action for a bit“according to Michael Cole on WWE Raw commentary.

Bate would later reveal that he had torn his “left pectoral muscle and tendon off the bone” during his match on WWE NXT.

He would confirm that he underwent successful surgery with later reporting stating he would miss the rest of 2024 as he recovers from surgery.

Prior to his injury, Bate had reunited with Dunne to form New Catch Republic with the pair being drafted to WWE Raw in the 2024 Draft.

Having been a fixture in WWE NXT and NXT UK, Bate made his main roster debut in January 2024, teaming with the then-Butch at SmackDown: New Year’s Revolution.

Bate is a former NXT Tag Team Champion, and also held the NXT United Kingdom Championship, the NXT UK Heritage Cup and NXT UK Tag Team Championship.
