A current WWE name has shared his thoughts on AEW’s debut console video game, AEW Fight Forever sharing his thoughts on the differences with WWE’s own 2K series.
Tyler Breeze, who is contracted to WWE and appears exclusively on WWE’s UpUpDownDown YouTube channel, is known for playing the WWE 2K game series, specifically the MyGM mode.
Speaking to the Agents of Wrestling podcast, Breeze was asked what his thoughts were on WWE’s rival AEW entering the wrestling video game arena with Fight Forever, sharing what he liked about the debut title and what he thinks they could add to improve it going forward.
Breeze answered:
“So I actually tried it. I tried once or twice. I like it. I like the feel of it. I think it’s a very good base point.
“Like I think there’s a lot they can add on to but I think now that they have something then it’s you know, obviously easier to see or to hear what people want.
“I know people were mentioning a lot about like creation, they want a little more customization. They love making people or downloading people or all that stuff.
“So I think the overall idea is good, I think the gameplay is very different than WWE 2K, which is exactly what they were going for.
“They wanted more of that No Mercy feel, that old kind of arcade-style. I’ve only tried it a couple times. But we’re gonna be doing a couple tournaments here and there coming up with it. So I think we’re gonna jump into it a little bit more.”
While Fight Forever has received rather mixed critic reviews in comparison to WWE’s latest effort WWE 2K23, AEW’s debut console title has been praised by fans for its simplistic and easy to grasp controls and focus on arcade-style action rather than simulation.
AEW President Tony Khan recently discussed the launch of Fight Forever and revealed some plans for the game’s future, click here to read on.
