WWE Star Calls For UFC Fight Against CM Punk

WWE Star Calls For UFC Fight Against CM Punk UFC

A top WWE star has called for a match against CM Punk in MMA, sending a message to UFC’s Dana White, telling him to book the fight.

From even before CM Punk’s WWE return, Seth Rollins has shown hostility to the former WWE Champion.

With the duo set to face off in a three-way match at WrestleMania 41, Rollins has revealed that he’s prepared to take on Punk on unfamiliar turf.

On Outta Pocket with RGIII, Seth Rollins was asked about the possibility of facing CM Punk in MMA.

Noting that he’d be open to facing Punk in a professional fight, Rollins said:

“In an MMA fight? Sure, yeah I would. I mean look, again, I’m not going to just burst into his locker room backstage and start lighting him up, but if Dana White wanted to book CM Punk for Seth Rollins, you know, I guess first non-UFC fighter/ non-UFC fighter fight on one of his cards, I’d put on the gloves and give it a go.”

Calling for Dana White to book this fight in the UFC, Rollins continued:

“It might be the only one I do, but yeah, I would do it. You put me in there with like any of the other guys in my weight class, I’m out, but yeah.

“I mean Dana, you wanna make some money? Book it, brother, just give us a few months, give me like a training camp, but I feel like I could handle myself.”

CM Punk infamously had two fights in the UFC, losing to Mickey Gall via submission in the first round at UFC 203 in September 2016.

He returned to the Octagon at UFC 225 in June 2018, originally losing to Mike Jackson via unanimous decision, however this decision was overturned to a no contest after Jackson tested positive for marijuana.

Seth Rollins, CM Punk and Roman Reigns will face off in the main event of WrestleMania 41 Night 1 on April 19.
