Big Change For Undertaker In WWE Confirmed

Big Change For Undertaker In WWE Confirmed WWE

The Undertaker has shared an interesting update on his WWE future, and the future of his iconic Deadman persona.

The Undertaker became a household name during his WWE in-ring career, with the Hall of Famer usually being one of the first names WWE fans are asked about when making small talk about hobbies.

While many people remember the Undertaker for his dark presentation, Mark Calaway’s recent appearances have seen him presented as his ‘American Badass’ persona.

Speaking on his Six Feet Under podcast, Undertaker noted that he’s more interested in appearing for WWE as ‘Mark Calaway’ rather than ‘The Undertaker’, which is why he hasn’t made many appearances as The Deadman recently.

Noting that it’s unlikely that he’ll appear as the Deadman again, he explained:

“I’ve really pushed to kind of be more Mark Calaway now, because I want to honor that character and the work that I did, and all the kayfabing that I did for that character.”

Noting that he’s ready to let the Deadman character go, he noted:

“Not being corny, but I do want to let The Undertaker kind of rest in peace and kind of everything now that you see, like the other night on the Netflix deal, was the American Badass.”

He did note that he isn’t fully ruling out a return to darkness, but stated that bringing back the Deadman would have to make a lot of sense for him to consider.

Undertaker appeared on the January 6 Raw on Netflix premiere, sharing a moment with Rhea Ripley.

He recently explained why he initially turned down the pitch for this segment, click here to read more.
