The Undertaker has named what he considers to be among the in-ring issues that are affecting the current WWE product.
The Undertaker retired in 2020, although he has maintained a close relationship with WWE, with a recent report suggesting a move into the creative realm.
During a recent episode of his Six Feet Under podcast, The Undertaker spoke to GUNTHER and noted the work the former World Heavyweight Champion puts in, saying:
“For somebody as established now that you (GUNTHER) are, one of the top heels in the company, you were here at the PC putting in reps. That right there did my soul good. Because I don’t think people care enough anymore.”
The Undertaker would elaborate on the point more, suggesting possible causes for the lack of sharpness to in-ring work and how it affects the television product, stating:
“I don’t want to put you on the spot, but I’m just gonna give you my perspective.
“It’s starting to show in the product. I don’t know if it’s the lack of reps, or complacency, or what it is, but the little small things are really starting to become big things because it’s just not real sharp.”

It has previously been reported that the number of WWE live events was being cut, with TKO President Mark Shapiro stating plans were to drop the number of total live shows to 200 in 2025.
Despite having retired from in-ring competition, The Undertaker revealed that he would have liked to have worked with GUNTHER after seeing him at Clash at the Castle.
A coach in the WWE LFG reality series, The Undertaker’s work in that particular role has seen the Hall of Famer praised.
