Based on the rules of the WWE draft as advertised, any superstar not drafted is free to sign with any brand they choose. Eligible draft picks were divided into two pools.
After night 1, several superstars are now consider free agents. Here’s who’s left.
- Men: Cesaro, Humberto Carrillo, Akira Tozawa, Sin Cara, Eric Young, EC3, Chad Gable, Heath Slater, Drew Gulak
- Women: Tamina
- Teams: B-Team (Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel)
The most notable names on this list would have to be Cesaro and Chad Gable. It’s also unclear at this time if this means Drew Gulak and Humberto Carillo will remain on 205 and NXT or if they are destined to sign with Raw or Smackdown.
Selfishly, I’d love to see Cesaro pull the big swerve and sign with NXT. There are some pretty tasty match-ups for Cesaro down on NXT.
Who's Team ? and who's Team ??

Cesaro vs. Walter comes to mind. Of course, there’s always hope of a reunion between he and Kassius Ohno. At one time, it was rumored Cesaro had asked to wrestle in NXT UK.
Gable is also another name to note. Of course, he is now Shorty Gable. Vince seems to love him, in spite of naming him shorty.
My guess for him would be Smackdown.
You also have to feel bad for Eric Young and EC3. They were very promising acts in NXT and have done absolutely nothing on the main roster. Will anyone want to sign them?
Speaking of trouble getting signed. It’s no surprise Tamina is left. She hasn’t wrestled a women’s division match in a long, long time.
The draft will finish up Monday Night on Raw. Stay tuned to WrestleTalk for all the draft coverage.
