WWE is promoting Roman Reigns defending the Universal Championship in a handicap match for upcoming house shows.
The handicap match that is being advertised is Reigns defending against current SmackDown Tag Team Champions Rey and Dominik Mysterio.
Reigns and the Mysterios will be in action against each other on this coming Friday’s SmackDown, the first with fans back in the arena, as Reigns teams with the Usos against the Mysterios and Edge.
Obviously with house shows the card is always subject to change but that match would make sense given the ongoing storyline, even though a handicap match does seem unconventional for the Universal Championship.
It wouldn’t be the first time though, as The Miz and John Morrison challenged Braun Strowman for the same title in a handicap match at Backlash last year.
