WWE release condition update on Jeff Hardy

WWE release condition update on Jeff Hardy

Jeff Hardy was taken out of the arena on a stretcher following his Hell in a Cell loss against Randy Orton.

He promised something special to fans and well, he sort of delivered, falling from the ceiling of the cell about 5 seconds after Randy Orton had moved off a table below, leaving Jeff to fall through it with a sickening thud.

And it’s not as though the rest of the match was easy going for Hardy. Orton used a screwdriver to twist Jeff’s flesh tunnel (that’s what it’s called apparently), which frankly, was disgusting.

Orton wasn’t much better off, sustaining a deep gash in his thigh, out of which a chunk of flesh was hanging.

Grim.

Following the match, WWE released the following statement regarding Jeff’s injuries.

“Following his brutal Hell in a Cell Match against Randy Orton, Jeff Hardy was tended to by EMTs at ringside.

“Cathy Kelley then reported on Instagram that Hardy complained of severe abdominal pains backstage, prompting WWE medical personnel to have him transported to a local medical facility.

“Michael Cole later reported that Hardy began coughing up blood while en route to the facility. Once that subsided, Cathy Kelley went on to report that Hardy would be kept overnight for further observation.”

Hardy has since taken to Twitter to insist that he’ll “be fine”, but you would imagine this is the last we’ll be seeing of Jeff for the foreseeable future. He has been fighting through injury for the last few months and this is the perfect excuse to give him a lengthy lay-off.

We wish him a speedy recovery.
