Injured WWE Star Reveals Update Following Knee Surgery WWE

Following surgery for her knee injury, an update has been provided on former WWE Women’s Champion Asuka of Damage CTRL.

After being pulled from the Queen of the Ring tournament, WWE announced that Asuka had suffered a knee injury. The former WWE Women’s Champion underwent surgery to deal with her injury and went on to post a video of herself walking on crutches, which you can see here.

On June 17, Asuka posted a new video on her YouTube channel to share some details on her knee surgery.

According to the Damage CTRL member, the surgery itself lasted around 90 minutes. She was then discharged from the hospital the day after her surgery and wasn’t able to walk on her own. She said:

“The doctor told me that the surgery was a success. My knee hurts, but I can take painkillers and I’m fine.”

Asuka also stated that she will be moving to a rehabilitation center to begin her injury rehab.

“The Empress of Tomorrow” last wrestled in a loss alongside her Kabuki Warriors teammate Kairi Sane against Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships at WWE Backlash.
