It’s not only WWE’s wrestling roster that is dominated by male talent. Those of you who watch a lot will know that there is currently only one female referee signed full-time by the company, and that is Jessika Carr.
Carr generally officiates on NXT but has made appearances for women’s matches on the main roster and at WWE Evolution last year.
Bearing all that in mind, it’s nice to hear that for the first time in history, WWE used an all-female refereeing team for NXT’s latest live show tour.
It seems as though “Beck the Ref” was just in for the three shows, but it’s a good sign nonetheless.
It was reported recently that WWE has holding a tryout with the specific intention of finding more female referees, so this could be a part of that process.
