The April 10 episode of WWE Raw was a show that needed a fair amount of changes due to issues beyond the company’s control.
As previously reported, travel issues meant that a number of WWE superstars arrived late for the show in Seattle, resulting in changes to what was originally written.
Although Vince McMahon wasn’t at Raw itself, he still reportedly had his hand on the creative process, albeit from afar.
According to PW Insider, Vince McMahon reportedly:
“went over the original plans for Raw but there weren’t any massive changes made because of Vince.”
The advertised match between Matt Riddle and The Miz was reportedly cancelled before the travel issues came into play, but there’s no confirmation yet of whether or not that was a Vince McMahon decision.

Following the sale of WWE to Endeavor, McMahon said he wouldn’t be “in the weeds on the creative end” but would be “on the higher level”.
His involvement over WrestleMania 39 weekend, including the WWE Raw after WrestleMania has attracted attention, although he was also not in attendance at the April 7 episode of WWE SmackDown.
As previously reported, morale backstage “took a hit” with McMahon making changes before and during the April 3 episode of WWE Raw.
