Controversial UFC fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov, who beat Conor McGregor in a blockbuster fight at UFC 229 on Saturday, could be heading to WWE.
Nurmagomedov claimed on Twitter that WWE had been in touch, with the suggestion being that they wanted him to face off with fellow (occasional) UFC fighter Brock Lesnar.
@WWE ask me to jump inside.

The Russian is set to serve a six month suspension from UFC following his actions at the climax of the McGregor fight, in which he and some of his team were involved in a wild post-match brawl with McGregor, his team and UFC officials.
The Nurmagomedov-McGregor fight is reported to have drawn in excess of 2.4 million pay-per-view buys, which is by far the highest in UFC history and beyond anything WWE has ever done.
Nurmagomedov’s newfound high media profile could make a Lesnar match a lucrative one for WWE.
Whether the prospect of it happening is realistic is unclear. It seems unlikely that UFC would allow Nurmagomedov to wrestle in WWE, but stranger things have certainly happened.
There is also the distinct possibility that Nurmagomedov is making it up to get people talking and that WWE have not actually been in touch at all.
