There can be little doubt that William Regal’s contribution to the in-ring WWE landscape helped to shape it for the better.
With a career that spans almost forty years and many countries worldwide, Regal is a true veteran of the business and a well-regarded name wherever he gets mentioned.
WWE’s Apollo Crews recently echoed these sentiments in an interview with Metro.
With Regal’s WWE return just days away, Crews weighed in on the benefits of the impending return, saying:
“I feel like there’s a lot of young kids – not just young kids, but anybody can benefit from somebody with credentials like William Regal.
“‘If it’s something that’s happening, it’s gonna be fantastic for a lot of the younger kids, all of us, to get the knowledge and experience of someone who’s so well travelled, so well-versed.”
Crews, who has returned to WWE NXT and found a new vein of success, reflected on the impact of Regal as a tutor, explaining:
“I think that that’s one of those things where you’ve got to sit back and look and understand how grateful you should be to have somebody like that being able to teach you on a regular basis. It doesn’t get better than that, right?”
Whilst WWE hasn’t yet confirmed the return of William Regal, Tony Khan had previously addressed the situation.
It was also confirmed that he wouldn’t be able to return to WWE as an on-screen character.
Sources have, however, stated that Regal will take on a senior executive role within WWE.
