WWE Star Believes He Has Made Wins & Losses Matter WWE

Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER has now reacted to his loss to Chad Gable on Monday’s edition of WWE Raw.

On the August 21 show, GUNTHER put his Intercontinental Title on the line in a match against the #1 contender Chad Gable.

In a shocking move, Gable scored a count-out victory over the Ring General, with GUNTHER unable to answer the referee’s 10 count after Gable suplexed him into the timekeeper’s area at ringside.

While Gable didn’t win the gold because titles don’t change hands on count-out victories, he became the first star to best GUNTHER in a one-on-one match on the main roster.

Speaking with Jeff Snyder, GUNTHER noted that he believes that he’s made wins and losses mean something in his matches.

Proud of his title reign, GUNTHER said:

“I’m definitely taking pride in my title reign. Ever since I came to the main roster, it didn’t take too long until I got my hands on the Intercontinental Championship.

“Since then, I can leave my own mark and legacy on the title and in the same process, building my own legacy. I’ve been doing it my way, the way I’ve always expressed myself in the ring, I’m still doing that and that’s something I’m very proud of, obviously.

“Wins and losses in wrestling are something different than in other sports, but in my situation, it’s very important to win because I plan to stay Intercontinental Champion.”

It is currently unclear if there will be a rematch between GUNTHER and Gable.

A former WWE star has recalled scrapped plans for him to win the Intercontinental Championship, which you can read about right here.
