WWE Star Sets Sights On Women’s Intercontinental Championship WWE

The WWE Women’s International Championship was officially revealed on the November 25 episode of Raw by brand GM Adam Pearce.

Footage of the announcement, with the first champion to be crowned in a tournament starting next week, can be seen below this news story.

At the time of writing, no WWE stars have officially been announced for the tournament that starts on December 2.

Kairi Sane has, however, thrown her hat into the ring in a tweet that can be see below which read:

I want to fulfill my dreams again.

Sane signed with WWE in October 2016 and has gone on to hold the NXT Women’s Championship and is a two-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion (with Asuka)

Her tenure in Stardom has also seen her hold multiple championships, including the Artist of Stardom Championship, Goddesses of Stardom Champion, the Wonder of Stardom Championship and the World of Stardom Championship.

She departed WWE in December 2021 and made her return to Stardom, also competing in NJPW before returning to WWE in August 2023.

Currently, along with Asuka, Iyo Sky and Dakota Kai, she is a member of Damage CTRL and signed to WWE Raw.
