WWE Planning ‘Twists & Turns’ Before WrestleMania 39 Title Match? WWE

A report has revealed that we could be seeing more “twists and turns” in the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship picture.

In the new issue of Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscription required), Dave Meltzer writes:

“The only thing we know is that the women’s tag title situation with the six women involved, as well as Bayley and Trish Stratus, has several twists and turns yet to come before the matches are finalized.

“Whether that means another title change back, or a Stratus heel turn leading to that, or something else isn’t known past we’ve got more storyline to get to the destination of likely two different matches coming out of this.

“But Rousey & Baszler were to face whoever ends up as the tag team champions in a few weeks.”

On the February 27 episode of WWE Raw, Becky Lynch & Lita scored a victory over Damage CTRL (IYO Sky & Dakota Kai) to become WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.

The attempts at interference from Bayley would be met by a returning Trish Stratus, after weeks of rumor.

Stratus was originally planned to return on February 13, then February 20, but plans changed on both occasions before she finally made her comeback on February 27.

Ronda Rousey recently revealed that she wanted to dominate the Women’s Tag Team Division with Shayna Baszler and, whilst she wouldn’t say “no” to a title opportunity, it isn’t something she’s “chasing necessarily.”
