WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships Defended After Smackdown

Apart from the Smackdown show after WrestleMania 35, the IIconics have not defended their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships on WWE TV since they won them from Bayley and Sasha Banks on the “grandest stage of them all”.

However, the Australian duo put their titles on the line after Smackdown and 205 Live went off the air last night for the live crowd. The pair defended against The Kabuki Warriors of Asuka and Kairi Sane, both of whom were not on Smackdown this week.

The match ended via DQ, meaning The IIconics retained their titles. However, I fully expect this to be a match on TV or an upcoming pay-per-view at some time, with Asuka and Kairi Sane picking up the win and the titles.
