An update has emerged on discussions for the WWE Worlds Collide announce team, with several names ruled out from calling the action.
With Worlds Collide to be available in both English and Spanish on YouTube, there has been some speculation about the production and announce teams slated to work the June 7 WWE and AAA talent crossover event.
Per Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there had been discussions about having WCW and TNA Wrestling announcing veteran Mike Tenay calling the show, but Meltzer was unable to confirm whether or not he had been contacted.
Tenay would’ve been a fitting announcer, given that his announcing career started when covering “When Worlds Collide”, the AAA and WCW co-promoted show in 1994.
Meltzer reported that former AAA English language announcers Joe Dombrowski and Larry Dallas are not set to work WWE Worlds Collide, with WWE having kept quiet about this show’s announce team.
Lilian Garcia previously confirmed that she will be the ring announcer for Worlds Collide. You can read her comments about her upcoming appearance right here.
