Backstage Reaction To WWE WrestleMania 40 Match Revealed

Following a highly successful event, a new report has revealed the backstage reaction to WWE WrestleMania 40 main event.

At WWE WrestleMania 40 Night One, The Rock and Roman Reigns defeated Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins in the main event.

The bout marked The Rock’s first time back in the ring since 2016 and was billed as “the biggest tag team match in WrestleMania history.”

Speaking with ESPN about WrestleMania 40, former WWE Women’s World Champion Becky Lynch revealed that The Rock, Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins all received a standing ovation upon coming backstage after their Mania main event. She said:

“Sometimes you come back from a match and you just know that you’ve done something specia. And everybody had that feeling.”

The report notes that Rock, Roman, Cody and Seth all exchanged hugs when they made it to the Gorilla position following the match.

Lynch also revealed that WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque, Stephanie McMahon, Paul Heyman, William Regal, producer Bobby Roode, Michael Hayes, Bruce Prichard and The Rock’s daughter as well as NXT GM Ava were all in Gorilla to give the four men a standing ovation.
