After Jey Uso won the World Heavyweight Championship to kick off WWE WrestleMania 41, there was a title change in the next match as well.
The New Day are now 12-time World Tag Team Champions as Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods are titleholders once again.
New Day defeated the War Raiders to win the titles, with their victory not coming without some shady tactics.
Woods pinned Ivar, but Kofi Kingston – unbeknown to the referee – was holding down Ivar’s legs from the outside to prevent him from kicking out.
The War Raiders’ reign had lasted 124 days after they won the championship from Judgment Day’s Finn Balor and JD McDonagh in December.
This was also Woods’ first ever Mania win, taking his record at the event to 1-6. It was Kingston’s third, taking his record to 3-13.
Of course six years ago at WrestleMania 35, one of Kingston’s wins saw him become WWE Champion with a win over Daniel Bryan.
