New Match Confirmed For WWE WrestleMania 41 WWE

The WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match for WrestleMania 41 has now been confirmed as of tonight’s April 11 episode of SmackDown.

Last week, it was announced that Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez would defend the championship at Mania on April 19 or 20.

Their challengers were set to be determined tonight in a six-team gauntlet match.

Kicking off the first round of the gauntlet were the teams of Lyra Valkyria & Bayley, and Zoey Stark & Shayna Baszler.

Valkyria rolled up Baszler with a jacknife pin to advance to the next round, with the next team to come out being Natalya & Maxxine Dupri in their first match as a duo.

Valkyria & Bayley advanced a second time, this time with Bayley rolling up Dupri as Dupri was going for the Sharpshooter in an effort to impress Natalya.

Out next were Kayden Carter & Katana Chance, who also suffered a loss to Valkyria & Bayley, with Valkyria pinning Carter after her Nightwing finisher.

The next team to attempt to stop the role of Bayley & Valkyria were Michin & B-Fab – they too were unsuccessful, as Bayley pinned B-Fab off of the Rose Plant.

That meant the final round to determine the #1 contenders was Bayley & Valkyria up against Alba Fyre and Piper Niven, who were accompanied by Women’s United States Champion Chelsea Green.

This was by far the longest and most dramatic portion of the match, and ended with Valkyria pinning Fyre after Bayley nailed Fyre with a Rose Plant and Valkyria followed up with a leg drop from the top rope.

So, Valkyria & Bayley made it all the way through the gauntlet and will now challenge Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania.
