The second title change of the night has taken place at WWE WrestleMania 41 night two, as Becky Lynch made her return to the company.
As predicted, Lynch was indeed the mystery partner for Lyra Valkyria, replacing Bayley in the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match.
Lynch and Valkyria ended up scoring the victory, winning the championship from Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez.
Bayley had been taken out last night during the Countdown show via a backstage attack storyline, which had been planned for weeks and wasn’t due to a legitimate injury.
It was Lynch’s first match since May 2024, at which point her WWE contract expired and she legitimately left the company for a break.
However, she re-signed a few months ago and was part of the promotion for Raw moving to Netflix in January.
A few months after that, she’s now made her full return and is now tag champion with her fellow countrywoman from Ireland, Lyra Valkyria.
Valkyria is now a double champion as she also holds the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship.
Michael Cole on commentary made a point of calling her ‘Lyra Two Belts’, a throwback to when Becky Lynch became ‘Becky Two Belts’ in the main event of WrestleMania 35 in 2019.
This was the second title change of the night as Dominik Mysterio had won the Intercontinental Championship four-way earlier.
