Real Reason Triple H Booked WWE WrestleMania 41 Night 1 Main Event

The real reason CM Punk, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins will face off in a three-way match at WWE WrestleMania 41 has now been revealed.

With Paul Heyman’s loyalty thoroughly tested by the trio, recent events have seen him disparaged by Reigns over his previous promise to CM Punk.

As can be seen below, tensions rose between all three WWE stars on the go-home episode of Raw before WrestleMania, with Rollins taking down Reigns with a chairshot and Punk with a Stomp before doing the same to the fallen Reigns.

While their issues have been long running on WWE television, Triple H has recently addressed the reason fans will see a Triple Threat at WrestleMania 41 instead of singles matches.

With WrestleMania 41 night one on April 19 seeing Punk vs. Reigns vs. Rollins as the main event due to Heyman’s favor, Triple H spoke about the “collective stuff” between them during a recent interview with Peter Rosenburg, saying:

“You can make the argument, ‘But you could have gotten a single with Seth and Roman. You could have got a single with Seth and Punk. You could have got Roman and Punk.’

“There’s so much individual stuff. There is. But there’s also so much collective stuff, that I believe you can get this collective stuff off the table and then you haven’t even nicked the surface yet of where this goes between the three guys, one at a time.

“Sometimes when you get to WrestleMania, people think that should be the definitive end. Well, maybe we’re just giving you the definitive beginning. Maybe we’re just trying to figure out how to navigate this to get to WrestleMania to START a story that takes you to places that you haven’t thought of yet.”

Night two of WrestleMania 41 will be headlined by the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes defending the title against John Cena.

As for the opening match for this year’s WWE PLE, that hasn’t been confirmed, although Jey Uso would like his match against GUNTHER for the World Heavyweight Championship to take that spot.
