WWE Star Reveals What Was ‘Genuinely Upsetting’ About WrestleMania 41 Match WWE

A WWE star has recalled their WrestleMania 41 match, revealing what was genuinely upsetting to them about the experience.

While Bayley and Lyra Valkyria went wire to wire in the #1 contender’s gauntlet match to earn their WrestleMania match, this team didn’t challenge for the Women’s Tag Team Championship on April 20.

With Bayley pulled from the match the night prior due to an in-storyline backstage attack, Lyra Valkyria instead teamed with the returning Becky Lynch, ultimately winning the gold.

Speaking on My Mom’s Basement with Robbie Fox, Valkyria noted that it was genuinely upsetting for her to have her WrestleMania moment come at Bayley’s expense.

Discussing her real-life relationship with Bayley, Valkyria said:

“In WWE, especially since I’ve come to Raw, I feel like I’ve had this natural connection with Bayley outside of the ring. It kind of just manifested inside the ring, like we really, really clicked.

“Having my Mania moment come as an expense to her, that was genuinely very upsetting.

“It’s a very big shame to see her out at the moment.”

Valkyria and Lynch’s partnership didn’t last, with the duo losing the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship back to Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez, and Lynch attacking Valkyria on Raw the following night.

Lynch is slated to challenge for Valkyria’s Women’s Intercontinental Championship at WWE Backlash on May 10.

Becky Lynch recently addressed WWE fans calling her “Becky Hogan”, which you can read more about right here.
