An update has emerged on WWE potentially hosting a WrestleMania event in Saudi Arabia, with next year’s event moving locations.
There has been a lot of speculation about the next host city, with WrestleMania 42 being pulled from New Orleans, and its new location yet to be confirmed.
While Las Vegas is looking like the likely home for WWE’s Show of Shows again, there are several international locations which have been rumored to be future WrestleMania hosts.
One of these locations is Saudi Arabia, with Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority chairman Turki Alalshikh previously expressing interest in hosting WrestleMania.
Fightful Select has provided an update on this possibility, reporting that they haven’t heard of a WrestleMania in Saudi Arabia being being planned for the coming years at least.
The report noted that a longtime WWE employee expressed the belief that if WWE does hold this marquee event in Saudi Arabia, it would be later in the year and called something like “Super WrestleMania”, similar to the 2018 “Greatest Royal Rumble” event.
While WWE hasn’t confirmed the location yet, previous reports have indicated that Las Vegas will now be the home of WrestleMania 42, one year after WrestleMania 41 took over the Allegiant Stadium.
