WWE Name Wants To Wrestle For The Company At Least Once WWE

SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis has addressed the possibility of him making an in-ring return while with WWE.

Aldis was an established star ahead of joining WWE, notably holding the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship for 1,309 days across his two reigns.

The British star hasn’t wrestled since joining WWE, with Aldis starting on as a backstage producer in August 2023, before making his debut as the onscreen SmackDown General Manager that October.

Speaking on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Aldis noted that if he makes his in-ring return, it’ll be a WWE decision.

Addressing the idea that he said goodbye to his in-ring career when accepting the WWE GM role, Aldis said:

“I guess, but I also don’t — I don’t necessarily see it like that, 100 percent. I see it more as a sort of, you know, maybe not a full-time wrestler. But I don’t know.

“Look, it gets asked all the time, by everyone except me. I have never once said, hey, what about me? Could I wrestle? And all that because I don’t need to. If and when the time comes, it’ll be what they want and it will hopefully be the right time. I just told them that if you wanna do that, I’m ready.”

Noting that he would like to wrestle in WWE at least once, Aldis continued:

“I would like to lace ‘em up. I don’t care if it’s on a regular basis but, I’ve earned it, once. I don’t know (if that means more than once). If it was one more time, so be it.

“Like I said, I feel like I meet the criteria to be on that canvas at least once… (My bicep is) 100 percent.”
