After finding themselves at odd earlier this month, an update has emerged on the future of a WWE tag team.
On the September 9 episode of WWE NXT, Sol Ruca inadvertently hit her finish on Zaria during a three-way tag-team elimination match.
The pair have always had an unconventional partnership, with Zaria ignoring her partner’s attempts to make amends and removing her from a photo later shared on social media.
This week’s NXT Homecoming saw the pair still struggling to find common ground, with an appearance by recently released WWE star Shayna Baszler giving them some food for thought.
With Baszler reflecting on her history of tag team partners, she would encourage Za-Ruca to fix their issues to find success, something that Zaria seemed to take on board, later tweeting:
“I’m not the forgiving kind…
“But maybe just this once. For her.”
As for their future beyond Za-Ruca, it was previously reported that Sol Ruca is a name that was discussed for a main roster call-up.
Ruca is the current NXT Women’s North American Champion and WWE Women’s Speed Champion, a previous X/Twitter exclusive title.
With the WWE Women’s Speed Championship now on NXT, it’ll be defended at No Mercy on September 27, with Ruca facing either Candice LeRae or Lainey Reid.
I’m not the forgiving kind…
But maybe just this once. For her. https://t.co/NrpxbVbb4U
