Zelina Vega WWE Character Change Update

A WWE star has revealed that they don’t want to see Zelina Vega undergo a major change of personality in their partnership.

Having become paired with her real-life husband, Aleister Black, the former WWE Women’s United States Champion has seen a shift in character, now being referred to as just ‘Zelina’.

When it comes to broader changes, however, Black was emphatic in his belief that she should become a cryptic character.

Speaking on The Babyfaces Podcast, Black stated that “speaking in riddles” isn’t what he wanted from Zelina, saying:

“One of the things that was important for me, and this is in my opinion still something that’s trying to find its ground, I didn’t want to lose Zelina Vega, and all of a sudden Zelina Vega becomes this Dungeons and Dragons character and speaks in riddles and stuff like that, because that’s not what Zelina Vega is.

“I wanted her to still be able to deliver her zingers and stuff like that. I think a lot of times, when you alter things slightly for your character, especially in this dimension that me and her are standing in right now, you don’t have to change much in terms of what the essence of your character is.

“It’s just the narrative which has to change as to how you speak in regards to the topics you utilize as your character. Once I explain the worldview Aleister Black has, she then has to translate that to what Zelina Vega does.

“There have to be slight altercations; they have to be minimal, but at the same time not lose what made her famous and popular in the first place.”

Black is currently feuding with Damian Priest, with Zelina playing into proceedings to ensure her real-life husband gets the upper hand.

This has led to Priest recently reuniting with an on-screen partner of his own, in the form of his Terror Twin, Rhea Ripley.
