Zelina Vega Undergoes WWE Name Change

A WWE star has officially undergone a name change after kicking off a new partnership on SmackDown recently.

A few weeks ago, husband and wife pairing Aleister Black and Zelina Vega came together on WWE TV for the first time, with Vega helping Black defeat Damian Priest.

In the weeks since then, the duo have established that they are together as an act going forward, with video packages referring to themselves as “the necessary evil.”

Zelina also accompanied Black to the ring for his most recent match, which saw him challenge Ilja Dragunov for the United States Championship just over a week ago.

WWE has now made an official change, as its website roster page has adjusted Zelina Vega’s name.

She is now simply known as ‘Zelina,’ with the Vega removed, as you can see in the screenshot below.

Aleister Black is still listed as Aleister Black, so his name hasn’t changed.

This isn’t the first time Zelina has had her name changed, as she was known as Queen Zelina for a while after winning the Queen of the Ring tournament in 2021.

It appears this is a very recent decision, as video packages featuring Black and Zelina so far on WWE TV had still been referring to her as Zelina Vega.
