SmackDown Live has been without the six-time Women’s Champ, Charlotte, since mid-June.
After defeating Asuka’s undefeated streak at WrestleMania 34 and successfully retaining her WWE SmackDown Women’s title, Charlotte lost it two days later after a beat down by The IIconics and a cash-in by Carmella.
She was unsuccessful in getting it back at Backlash.
Charlotte had to have surgery to repair ruptured implants on June 19th, but the issue had started well before that.
Charlotte recently appeared on SiriusXM’s Conversations with Maria Menounos and announced that she will be cleared to return to the ring July 31st.
Charlotte also briefly talked about how she figured out that she had the injury before WrestleMania 34.
The women’s division of SmackDown Live will become more interesting in a couple of weeks when Charlotte returns.
Right in time for the big build to SummerSlam, it’s only a matter of time to see if Charlotte will be in the mix to try and recapture the WWE SmackDown Women’s Title.
