It is being reported in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE had planned on having Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch face off at WrestleMania 36, one year after they main evented WWE’s biggest show of the year alongside Ronda Rousey.
However, the company have decided to move that match forward to Money In The Bank, as it is no longer being considered for WrestleMania.
Dave Meltzer has reported that the Flair vs. Lynch match is no longer being considered for WrestleMania because WWE have other plans for “The Man”. There is no official confirmation of who Lynch will be facing on the “grandest stage of them all”, it is reportedly not Charlotte Flair or Ronda Rousey.
However, Dave Meltzer noted that Becky is set to be the featured female performer on the card, and a match with Ronda Rousey at the “show of shows” in 2020 is not off the table if Rousey decides to return to WWE.
