WWE’s Possible Plans For The Fiend At WrestleMania 36

WWE’s Possible Plans For The Fiend At WrestleMania 36

Last month in Saudi Arabia at Crown Jewel, The Fiend Bray Wyatt defeated Seth Rollins in a Falls Count Anywhere match to capture the Universal Championship.

This weekend at the Survivor Series pay-per-view, The Fiend will be defending his new belt for the first time against former WWE Champion Daniel Bryan.

Despite the pay-per-view being just under six months away, fans are still speculating about who The Fiend will be facing at WrestleMania 36 in April 2020.

Dave Meltzer gave his opinion on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio. Meltzer speculated that Wyatt could face either Brock Lesnar or Roman Reigns in a marquee match at the pay-per-view.

While speaking about who The Fiend will likely be facing at WrestleMania, Meltzer had the following to say:

“Brock is stuck with Paul [Heyman] and because of Brock, Paul and Vince [McMahon] it is always planned out in advance. We probably should be seeing hints of whatever [Lesnar’s direction] is pretty soon. I’m still thinking it might be Bray Wyatt although they’re different brands. Maybe that’s out of the question, but maybe it’s not. Even if it is out of the question today, it might not be out of the question in a month.

“If ratings go down then what decisions will they make at that point? They’re building Bray up for somebody. It certainly isn’t Daniel Bryan. It’s certainly not The Miz. I don’t think it’s Strowman. I guess it might be Roman. I mean it could be Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania. I could absolutely see that.”

“Those could be the two. I’d say it’s Bray Wyatt against either Roman Reigns or Brock Lesnar.”

Since returning after battling leukaemia earlier this year, Roman Reigns has been kept out of the main event championship picture. This means that a potential main event showdown with Wyatt is an exciting prospect.

The idea of The Fiend going one-on-one with Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 36 is also rather mouth-watering. The pair were scheduled to have a match in 2016 at WrestleMania 32, by Brock instead faced Dean Ambrose.
