Cody Rhodes has reportedly signed a contract with WWE, and is expected to be the man to face Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins at WrestleMania 38 Saturday.
While Rhodes has not yet been officially announced, a lot of breadcrumbs have been left by the company to hint that Rhodes is set to come back into the fold, including today’s most recent one.
WWE released two new t-shirts to their Marquee Classics collection today, featuring none other than the American Dream, Dusty Rhodes, who is of course Cody’s father.
There is never a bad time to honor an icon like Dusty, but these shirts dropping two days before his son’s reported return to the company sure seems like it wasn’t a coincidence.
Dave Meltzer noted that he’s heard from people close to Cody Rhodes that he may yet pull out of WrestleMania 38. Maybe he’ll be replaced by ‘Colby’, as Becky Lynch joked about the fans chanting.
