German wXw Star Laurance Roman has won the prestigious wXw 16 Carat Gold Tournament.
The man who hails from Dresden was able to pull off a huge upset with victories over the young New Japan sensation Oskar, American star 1 Called Manders, and perhaps the future of European wrestling Peter Tihanyi.
The main event saw a double-turn of sorts as Roman not only showed concern for a fake injury from Tihanyi but also the fact he sent his stablemates of Amboss away.
Roman is set to face the wXw Unified World Wrestling Champion and fellow Amboss member Robert Dreissker at a future date.
Roman joins the ranks of legendary winners like Chris Hero (2007, 2014), Gunther/WALTER (2010), Sami Zayn/El Generico (2012), Malakai Black/Tommy End (2013, 2015), Jonathan Gresham (2022) and Shigehiro Irie captured both the championship and the trophy at last years event.
Over the 3-day festival, fans from around the world were able to experience the show live on YouTube for the first time ever with talent like Michael Oku, former WWE Star Lio Rush, ECW Legend Masato Tanaka and french sensation Aigle Blanc being featured.
