The WWE King of the Ring tournament is set to make it’s return on this Friday’s (October 8) episode of SmackDown, and is set to culminate at the WWE Crown Jewel event on October 21.
Fans are buzzing about the crowning of a new king, but no-one may be more so than SmackDown star Xavier Woods, who over the years has made a point to mention how he dreams of winning King of the Ring one day.
WWE’s official Twitter account posed a question to it’s followers earlier today, asking them what their dream finals are for the King of the Ring and Queen’s Crown tournaments, which Woods took part in.
Woods responded ‘#HailKingWoods’, accompanied by a picture of him wrestling Cesaro.
It seems that Woods certainly has the backing from the WWE fans to go all the way in this tournament. If WWE lets him do it will be another question entirely.
