WWE SmackDown star and everyone’s favourite King Xavier Woods made his return to WWE television on last night’s (March 25) episode of SmackDown.
Woods defeated Ridge Holland in a quick match via roll up, settling a score with a man who the New Day have been feuding with for the past few weeks.
Woods took to Twitter to reflect on his return, as well as outlining a goal he has set for himself for 2022.
He said:
Back to settle a score, then it’s time to get to work.
In 2022 your king will become Intercontinental Champion.
Woods, as well as Kofi Kingston, Sheamus, Butch and Holland, is not listed as part of the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal taking place on next week’s ‘WrestleMania SmackDown’, which would imply that some kind of match between the two teams is on the cards for WrestleMania.
If Woods were to capture the Intercontinental Championship, he’d hopefully defend it on a premium live event, something which has now not happened for an entire calendar year.
