Xavier Woods fulfilled his childhood dream last Thursday (October 21) at the WWE Crown Jewel pay-per-view, when he defeated Finn Balor in the King of the Ring final to win the crown.
It was previously reported that Xavier Woods was set to be known as ‘King Xavier’ after his victory in the tournament, but that no longer seems to be the case.
PWInsider is reporting that Woods will not be known as ‘King Xavier’, but rather ‘King Woods’ going forward. The original plan was for him to use the name King Xavier, even to the point where his titantron on SmackDown used that name, but the change to King Woods was made on Friday.
Woods’ current WWE.com profile page has been updated to reflect this change, confirming that the name will be ‘King Woods’.
WWE has not yet updated the profile for Queens Crown winner Zelina Vega, though she will receive her coronation on tonight’s Raw show.
