Former WWE Champion Big E has been out of action for over a year, after he tragically suffered a broken neck during a match on SmackDown last March.
With the anniversary of the injury coming, Ridge Holland took to Twitter to reveal that he has once again been receiving death threats and threats to his family from “fans”.
Big E’s tag team partner in the New Day, Xavier Woods, took to Twitter to respond to Ridge, condemning those who have sent harsh words to him.
Pro Wrestling is extremely dangerous. All of us involved understand that. Ridge & his family do not deserve to be treated this way. Please do not send any hate towards them.
Instead use your energy to do something positive like sending love to E. Be kind. Please be kind.
Both Holland and Big E have spoken since the incident about Holland going to visit E in hospital and buying him gifts to apologize (although on the funny side, the gifts were red meat which E doesn’t eat so he had to give them to some of his friends, but he did appreciate the gesture).
