There has been an update on status of Xia Li following an injury scare during last night’s (July 20) NXT main event.
During the main event, which saw NXT Women’s Champion Raquel Gonzalez retain her championship against Li, Gonzalez delivered a twisting splash onto Li, which lead to the referees briefly stopping the match to check on her condition.
Xia continued the match, and was immediately pinned by Raquel.
In an update, Xia Li appeared ok backstage after the match was over, per Fightful Select (subscription required). It appears as if Li may have injured her ribs, but that has not been confirmed as of now.
Xia Li was one of four NXT stars who wrestled in dark matches prior to last week’s SmackDown.
