It is not confirmed what the injury is or if this is part of a storyline.
On last week’s NXT 2.0 episode, Tony D’Angelo had some “associates” who attacked Santos Escobar during his matchup against Carmelo Hayes.
This could be another attack that will be revealed on tonight’s show, but nothing has been confirmed as of yet.
In response to the announcement, Robert Stone suggested his client Von Wagner replace Quinn against Tony D, saying:
If Xyon isn’t man enough to step up and face Tony D, my guy will cause he’s not SOFT. I got Von’s suspension cut down. Now all I have to do is pay his fine which won’t be a problem.
UPDATE: WWE has now officially confirmed that Wagner will be Quinn’s replacement and will face Tony D’Angelo tonight:
