AEW EVPs Matthew and Nicholas Jackson have given their final comments on Sting’s upcoming retirement match at AEW Revolution.
The Icon Sting is set to compete in his last ever match at tonight’s AEW Revolution event in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Sting is set to team with Darby Allin to defend the AEW World Tag Team Championship against Matthew and Nicholas Jackson of the Young Bucks in the show’s main event.
The match will be the final match in the legendary career of Sting, who had personally requested to face the Young Bucks at the event.
Taking to Twitter today before the match, the Young Bucks had a simple message for those getting emotional about Sting’s retirement.
They wrote:
Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because it happened. lol
Tonight’s show will also see Samoa Joe defend the AEW World Championship against both Swerve Strickland and Hangman Adam Page in a Triple Threat match.
