Former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Kota Ibushi has become one of the most talked about wrestlers over the past 24 hours.
Officially departing NJPW last night, Ibushi is now a free agent, with a lot of fans speculating about his future, and where he could pop up next.
Ibushi has history with Kenny Omega as a member of the Golden Lovers tag team, which has led to the natural speculation that he could end up signing for, or at least appearing for, AEW.
Omega’s AEW Trios Championship partners Matt and Nick Jackson, the Young Bucks, spoke to Dark Puroresu Flowsion about Ibushi.
The Bucks said that they love and miss Ibushi, and that he kept them up to date during Omega’s return to NJPW, and that they would love to have him around.
They said:
“Love him. Miss him.
“He kept us in the loop the night of Tokyo Dome about Kenny. Kept sending us little updates.
“Goes without question we’d love to have him around, or work with him. I think he has the ability to do whatever he wants.”
Tony Khan also recently spoke about potentially having Ibushi appear in AEW, which you can read here.
Ibushi however has seemed to rule out appearing in AEW any time soon, but noted that it is something he could do down the line.
