Zac Efron is set to star in an upcoming film with WWE legend John Cena, in the latest crossover between Efron and the wrestling world.
Efron is currently filming The Iron Claw, a movie by A24 which follows the tragic story of the Von Erich family whose members shaped the wrestling landscape across several decades.
AEW’s MJF will also reportedly have a role in the film.
However, Efron’s flirtations with the world of wrestling won’t stop there, as he is now slated to star in an R-rated comedy film with 16-time WWE World Champion John Cena.
The film is titled Ricky Stanicky, and the plot for the movie on IMDB reads as follows:
“When three teens pull a prank and burn down a house in their neighborhood, they create a fake person to take the blame — Ricky Stanicky did it!
“Twenty years later we see that they have been using this alibi to get out of every uncomfortable situation in life. When their wives force them to set up a meeting with Stanicky, they hire an actor.”
