The 2018 edition of the WWE United Kingdom Tournament has now aired on the WWE Network and it is Liverpool’s Zack Gibson who ended the show with his hand raised as the winner of the 16-man round robin.
Gibson came through tough matches against 205 Live star Jack Gallagher, Flash Morgan Webster and PROGRESS Champion Travis Banks to secure the victory, beating all three with his Shankly Gates arm submission.
Following the victory, Gibson was congratulated by Triple H, NXT UK General Manager Johnny Saint and Shawn Michaels. Gibson then grabbed the mic and attempted to cut one of his renowned heel promos but was immediately cut off by WWE UK Champion Pete Dunne and the two engaged in a stare-down as the show went off the air.
Dunne and Gibson will square off for the WWE UK Championship on tomorrow night’s broadcast.
